The student-led club project began in the fall of 2019 and has grown to be a school-wide project involving all school stakeholders: school administration, parents, teachers, and students. The project involves restoring and regenerating a large pond, replacing garden beds with raised beds to reduce herbivory by slugs, installation of a greenhouse to extend the growing season, the addition of compost bins to establish a system of recharging organic matter through permaculture practices, and a new tool shed to promote all-school use.
